I am dedicated to producing creative photographic content to allow the customers of commercial business to appreciate product and work. I work to create timeless imagery for families and individuals to capture precious life moments including weddings, engagements, and seniors portraits.
I am a portrait photographer residing in Portland, Oregon. I strive to capture the personality of each person I shoot while maintaining my desire to create works of art as a means of expression. I primarily shoot portraits and events in a photo-journalistic style. I focus on individual, family, and event photography.
I also have experience working to develop creative commercial content. I have worked with a variety of businesses including Salon Ethos, Spearfish Northwest, Capri Architecture, Stillhouse, Goal Five, Jord Watches, and Nike.
I originate from Newport, Oregon, where I grew up for my first 18 years. I attended college in Portland, Oregon at Portland State University where I focused my studies on art. I then transferred to Oregon State University, where I studied Human Development and Family Science and received my Bachelor’s of Science. In June 2018, I received my Master of Education to teach elementary school. While I am pretty busy during the school year, I plan to dedicate my summers to photography.
I have two loves; one is to help people, especially children, and the other is participating in all things creative and artistic. I have a desire to create and build, and I have always felt a need to use that energy as inspiration. I have discovered my love of photography, and the moments I have a camera in hand, have been moments in which I have felt the power of true passion.
"Photography is an art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them." - Elliott Erwitt
