Wholeheartedly

This weekend, I was able to spend much of my time with my sister Priscilla and my niece Paityn. I also celebrated my Dad's 57th birthday with them along with my sister Sentilla and brother Preston. If there is something that is necessary to know about me, it's that I am very close with my family.

They are so incredibly important to me and they are always teaching me something new.

Before I left my sister's apartment to make my way home, she and I reflected on the touching things that my niece said over the weekend. I shared with her that while playing together, Paityn told me, "I don't want to let you go" and "Auntie Meg, I love you."  She also helped me to write in my Dad's birthday card by telling me to add, "We miss you and we want you to come over." For someone who hasn't been talking for very long, she certainly says some of the most profound and meaningful things imaginable. She is sure to let those around her know that she cares.

She is the most loving and considerate 3-year-old that I have ever come across. I truly don't think it's just because she is my niece or because my sister Priscilla and I are especially close, but the love that she has is the truest thing I have ever seen. I can only praise my sister and her boyfriend Robert for modeling these characteristics for her to absorb like a sponge, and develop into the caring girl that she is.

This got me thinking, like a lot...

Here is a mini compilation of my niece enjoying the Berry Crisp dessert that we shared while out to lunch.

She truly has so much love to offer and says "I love you" about 30 times a day to all family members. I feel so lucky to have such an amazing loving daughter!! I can't even describe how much love I have for her. I just want her to stay this age forever! :)
